Established in February 2005, Shining Light is a registered non-profit making charity organization in Hong Kong. We aim at encouraging the Christians in Hong Kong and overseas to care for the minorities living in remote and poor areas in Western China. Our vision is that the True Light of our Lord Jesus will shine upon the people in the remote parts of China. "...to give His people the knowledge of salvation, through the forgiveness of their sins, because the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace." ~ Luke 1:77-79.

We endeavour to realise the following goals:

  1. Care for the minorities in Western China.
  2. Organise short-term trips and visits to these minorities.
  3. Promote the China Education Fund.
  4. Emphasize prayer as an effective tool, and hold regular prayer meetings.
  5. Enhance public understanding of minorities through workshops and promotional activities.
  6. Care for children with special needs and disabilities.
  7. Support frontline workers serving minorities.
  8. Nurture volunteers and develop their skills
